The 60% of the 333 households benefited from the amount provided to repair damages caused by climatic events; while the rest of the capital addressed the economic protection of persons unable to resolve the acquisition of building materials for their housing investments.
Wilker Rodriguez Noa, the deputy chairman of the Municipal Administration to finance investments reported to Venceremos that other 1100 grant applications are evaluated, but they still lack the funding necessary for the issuance of new grants.
This raises concerns about the delay in the proceedings and the trend of backlog of cases, although Rodriguez Noa assures that the organizational dynamics flowing smoothly and the attention to the population is a priority to respond to concerns and complaints.
He noted that it is a transparent process in which numerous control mechanisms are exercised by the agencies involved and evaluated twice a year in the Municipal Assembly of People's Power; allowing time to identify and resolve deviations in the approved policy in order to financial aid reaches always those most in need.
