Guantanamo Shows Good Results in Education

The correct school organization and knowledge tested over 300,  600 students from different education level are some of the indicators suitably evaluated in Guantánamo during the visit of National Inspection which recently concluded in the province.

Headed by the Deputy Minister of Education, Rolando Forneiro Rodriguez, this staff inspected about 136 educational institutions and also recognized sustainability of the program Educa a tu hijo and the guarantee of the placement of graduates at the 21 special schools in the territory.

The national inspection identified irregularities as major problems with schedules, distribution of study material, the methodological training and the strategy to guide students in terms of the profiles to study, aspects that have to be improved at primary school, technical and adult education, said the Deputy Minister.

During the visit, the staff checked some 89 teachers’ classes, most of these were rated Very Good, although national methodologists emphasized the need for more educational games intentionality and other means to achieve greater motivation and learning of students.
