The more than 6 thousand students who will finish the ninth grade in Guantanamo will continue their studies in the pre-university and technical professional levels, and for the latter, new offers are available.
Students can access the specialties of Dance Education, Theater Vision, Teachers of Visual Arts and Musical Education for basic and primary school education, study options with a period of four years in the two pedagogical schools located in the municipalities of Baracoa and Guantanamo.
It was said by Gregorio Quibiyet Pérez, head of this education level in the territory, and also emphasized that 50 students who finish the ninth grade could enter and are interested in training as teachers of Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and History of Cuba, a new possibility that will allow in future courses to expand the teaching coverage in those subjects, so necessary to raise Guantanamo students´ learning.
Gregorio Quibiyet Pérez also announced that over 2 000 students will enter Pre-university education, of which 360 will study at the José Maceo Institute Vocational School, 145 will enter the Camilo Cienfuegos Military School and other adolescents will continue their instruction at the Rafael Freire Torres sports School.
Finally, Quibiyet Perez announced that the ninth grade final exams will begin on May 28 with the subject of Spanish and conclude on June 6 with Chemistry.
