To Enjoy Summer 2018 in Guantanamo Schools

logo verano 2018 area 320x242More than 60 short summer courses will be taught in the 85 Guantanamo schools that will open their doors during the summer stage aimed at children and young people to love reading, develop the skills for interaction with new technologies and the appreciation of the arts.

 

Bárbara Iríbar Heredia, provincial methodologist of education, announced that the offers include computer courses, in which enrollees can expand their knowledge about the basic notions of Microsoft Office, Word 2003, Power Point, Excel, as well as the use of educational softwares.

How to make teaching materials, papier-mache techniques, artistic appreciation workshops and traditional dances such as changüí, chachachá, and mambo will be taught in the months of July and August in educational centers, by the art instructors of each school.

Other attractive proposals for this summer 2018, organized by the educational sector in Guantanamo, are the community courses for familiarization with the English, French and Portuguese languages.

In the upcoming summer season, the four children camps, the provincial palace Ramón Infante Gracias and the IPVCE "José Marcelino Maceo Grajales" will open their doors, the latter as a summer camp to welcome young people from other provinces.

Also, in the vocational school summer courses related to gardening, agronomy, carpentry, masonry, clothing, and electricity, will be also taught in which Guantanamo may be incorporated.

During the months of July and August the art instructors and physical education teachers also plan lectures on animation, film culture, casino wheel competitions and other recreational activities that allow children and young people to fully enjoy themselves.
