Twenty new Doctors in Sciences, coming from the fourth graduation of the School of Doctoral Training of the University of Guantanamo (UG), join the ranks of the scientific community of this easternmost region of the country.
With this figure, there are 174 trained in this UG in the branches of Geographical, Biological, Agricultural and Pedagogical Sciences, the latter with the largest number of graduates in the school year 2018 - 2019.
On behalf of the doctors, the youngest of them, Raudenis Salas Arteman, pointed out that after several years of study they reached the proposed goals; now, he said, we have to multiply the knowledge acquired to have a favorable impact on the socio-economic life of the territory.
During the graduation, the 15 best tutors were recognized and posthumous homage was paid to the doctors Maricela Dullet and Idalmis López Sánchez, two pedagogues who dedicated their lives to research and teaching with quality to the new generations of Guantanamo educators.
Alberto Turro Breff, rector of the University of Guantanamo, invited the new professors to contribute their talent and effort to the sustainable development of the easternmost province of Cuba, and congratulated the tutors for contributing to the preparation of the doctoral theses.
