Nearly two thousand young people from the University of Guantanamo are ready to exercise their right to vote on the third Sunday of February, Marcos Antonio Rodríguez Cueva, president of the University Student Federation of the House of Science and Progress told to CMKS Radio Station.
The student leader also added that the students of the 40 careers were interested to know if their names were included in the electoral lists, in addition to the place where they will vote for the new Constitution of the Republic of Cuba.
During these days, the university students also hold meetings in the student brigades and boarding houses to clarify doubts about the voting process, among other concerns that will allow the timely correction of organizational and legality problems that guarantee the proper development of the constitutional referendum.
More than 400 students of Law, Logopedia, Physical Education, Marxism -Leninism and History, among others, perform as collaborators in the more than one thousand 244 polling stations in the province, which is an essential step in the improvement of our electoral system.
The participation of these young people who have been active in neighborhoods and communities of Guantanamo for more than two months will serve to verify compliance with the provisions of the Electoral Law, the complementary norms and other indications issued by the electoral commissions at all levels.
