More than 30 summer courses offered by the University of Guantanamo to foreign students from ten countries, who chose this city to enjoy in the summer stage the landscape and nature of the Cuban easternmost territory.
Daniel Fernández, head of the activities department, told CMKS that vacationers will receive topics related to biodiversity, ecosystems, agroecology, among other courses taught by Guantanamo teachers and specialists.
This group will remain in the Teaching Unit that is located in Maguana, in the Baracoa municipality for a week, a period in which they are also linked to the various recreational and cultural offers, as well as tasting the meals, drinks and sweets of the first Cuban City.
On the other hand, the students from Russia, Salvador, Spain, Ecuador and Mexico will be able to familiarize themselves with the Baracoa dances, such as: Nengón, Kiribá, Aeroplano, among other Caribbean rhythms.
Unforgettable promises to be the first International Summer Camp in Guantanamo, since the program also includes trips, visits to places of socio-economic, scientific interest and to scenarios of relevant historical events.
