The training of teachers in Guantanamo for technical and professional education with graduates of ninth grade is one of the benefits that will be maintained for the next 2019-2020 school year.
This experience began three courses ago with the training of young people in the construction branch who are now professors and will teach in the 17 vocational schools in the territory as well as the provincial school Forjadores del Futuro of the capital city.
Liset Barnes Alat, Provincial Chief of Technical and Vocational Education, stressed that the training of new teachers will be extended in September to the specialties of Mechanics, Transportation, Computer Science, Electricity and services.
She also explained that the preparation time is three and a half years at the Informatics Vocational Institute and then they will continue training at the University of Guantanamo until obtaining the degree of graduates in these subjects.
Similar experience has been applied since 2010 in Guantanamo with the training of teachers for the teaching of Preschool, Primary, Special and English in the José Maceo Grajales Pedagogical School, a center that has graduated more than two thousand 187 professionals.
