Improving the teaching-educational process in the more than 700 educational centers that will open their doors in Guantanamo is one of the priorities for the current school year that will begin on September 2 throughout the territory.
For the new teaching stage, the role of the teacher is also strengthened, based on individual and collective improvement, preventive work with the family and students to avoid teenage pregnancy, the consumption of alcoholic beverages, tobacco and other drugs.
Vocational training, education in values, the proper use of the school uniform, as well as the link with the family, among others whose objective is to contribute to making the school the most important cultural center of the community will also be premises.
The educational sector in Guantanamo will continue the implementation of the Third Process of Education Development, in the 9 municipalities and the capital of the province, so that the more than 89,400 schoolchildren raise their education and cognitive level.
