Achieving greater understanding of environmental problems and acting in favor of the environment to foster Tarea Vida Program are priorities in this school year for professors and students of the Biology career of the Faculty of Education at the University of Guantanamo.

The Cuban Ministry of Higher Education (MES) stated some details about the short cycle program in Higher Education (ESCC), regarding the publication on Wednesday in the Official Gazette of a resolution on this new modality of study.
The ESCC is defined as a professional training, which is included as a higher education subsystem. It also refers to the aspects to be taken into account for its implementation.

The short cycle courses begin for the first time at the University of Guantanamo this October for young people who aspire to study profiles of pedagogical sciences in order to strengthen the coverage of teaching staff in the easternmost province of Cuba.

More than six thousand first-graders entered the Pioneers Explorer Movement on Friday, whose provincial ceremony took place at the Andrés González Lines primary school located in the south of the Guantanamo city.
