The second edition of the Patria Grande Rock Festival in Cuba will receive rock bands from Cuba, Argentina, Chile, Colombia and Mexico, as announced by its organizers here Thursday.

The Maxim Rock night club, the host of the Festival, will have the stage ready for the music performed by groups such as Carajo (Argentina), Sinergia (Chile), Don Palabras (Colombia) and Paquiderma (México).

Cuban rock bands Zeus, Tendencia, Dead Point and Stoner, will be offering their music together with the foreign bands already mentioned.

On November 13, there will be a great concert at the Jose Marti Antimperialist Tribune, which will gather all the invited groups to the event.

Before their next show in Havana, Chilean Sinergia group vocalist Rodrigo Osorio praised the organization of events like this and was making quotes that events like the Patria Grande Rock Festival, provide insight into the different expressions of rock in Latin America.

"We are looking forward to playing for the Cuban people, who have a special sensitivity to music," he told local daily Granma.

Sponsored by the Ministry of Culture, the Cuban Institute of Music and the Cuban Rock Agency. the Patria Grande Latin Rock Festival was held last year for the first time in this country.

The event included concerts in Havana and the central provinces of Cienfuegos and Villa Clara, in which coincided makers of Latin American rock and followers.
