Cuban and Salvadoran children fraternize today as part of Project La Colmenita, which in a few days will premiere in El Salvador the play ''La Cucarachita Martina urges for coexistence and peace''.

Yesterday, a group of Cuban children, who are members of the theater company La Colmenita, arrived in the country with their director Carlos Alberto Cremata and several teachers of the iconic theater group.

On January 28, the day of birth of Cuban National Hero Jose Marti and in the context of the commemoration activities of the Peace Agreements, the children will perform in the classic play with unique adaptations.

The debut of the Salvadoran Colmenita along with Cuban children will take place at the National Theatre in the capital, and then in the theaters of Santa and San Miguel, said Cremata to Prensa Latina during his visit last year to El Salvador.

Cremata then explained that this is the first step to the project in El Salvador, an idea of the president of this country, Salvador Sanchez Ceren.

He highlighted that the desire to implement La Colmenita project in El Salvador has full government support.

'La Colmenita is not dedicated to train artists, it is a place where children go when they finish their homework in order to use the free time learning about culture, but especially about human values', Cremata said.

La Colmenita, Goodwill Ambassador of the United Nations Children's Fund, has spread within Cuba, Mexico, Nicaragua, Venezuela, Argentina, Spain and Canada.

Among its greatest plays stand out Ajiaco de Sueños and Travesía Mágica, as well as El Mundo al Revés, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.
