Alicia Alonso, the Cuban prima ballerina absolute, will arrive today in Puerto Rico along with the Cuban National Ballet for a performance this weekend at the Fine Arts Center of San Juan.
This will be the 6th visit of Alicia Alonso to Puerto Rico. The previous visit took place in 2014. Puerto Rican producers Papo Coss and Agustin Rosario said that Alicia Alonso will take part in different activities before the performance of Giselle. The first lady of Puerto Rico, Wilma Pastrana, will receive Alicia Alonso at Isla Verde International Airport.
