This Saturday, from nine in the morning, the Cuban Informatics Association will make available to attendees to the 27th International Book Fair in Guantanamo a technological stand with access to digital texts of the career of computer science, of local, national writers and of the universal literature.
Kirenia Nariño Thomas, president of that organization, explained that the stand will be located in front of the Computing Palace, located in Pedro Agustín Pérez between Crombet and Emilio Giró, and will have a computer and a local Wi-Fi area, from where books can be downloaded from smart terminals.
Users can download La Mochila, available at the Community Computing and Electronics Club, as well as the collection Paqueteduque, provided by the provincial education directorate, also collaborators of this initiative that is carried out for the first time in the province.
Nariño Thomas highlighted the support of the University of Guantanamo, the Telecommunications company and self-employed workers of the Informatics Association and stressed that if the technological stand is well accepted, they can be present in future editions of the Book Fair.
