In Cuba every year from October 10 to 20, the Cuban Culture Day is celebrated. It begins with the Cry of Independence in the La Demajagua Farm by Carlos Manuel de Céspedes, concludes with the singing of National Anthem on October 20 at 10: 00 am in all provinces as Perucho Figueredo led hundreds years ago in Bayamo.
On this date all Cubans celebrate the commemoration. At the national and provincial levels there are several activities and in the Guantánamo municipality will be:
It will be ten days of intense sociocultural work in this land between rivers: Guantánamo to pay tribute to the 150th anniversary of the beginning of our wars of independence, the nation and the Cuban culture.
This day will be dedicated to:
150th Anniversary of the struggle for independence.
120th Anniversary of the entry of Major General Pedro Agustín Pérez to the Villa de Guantánamo.
40th Anniversary of the House of Culture System
40th Anniversary of the foundation of the folkloric structure "La Cecilita".
35th Anniversary of the career of the troubadour Josué Oliva.
35th Anniversary of the Guantanamo Provincial Museum.
30 st years of the Children’s Choir "Vocecitas de Cristal".
10th Anniversary of the House of Culture of Paraguay.
In the territory, more than 100 different activities have been designed, to be developed in the different institutions and neighborhoods, but the most relevant are undoubtedly the following ones:
