The Guantanamo delegation that will participate in the First Conference of the National Union of Cultural Workers exchanged with distinguished groups of that sector and performed an admirable initiative to children without family protection.
The first center visited was the Antonia Luisa Cabal Professional School of Music, a National Distinguished Institution where children from the ten municipalities of the province study free of charge in 16 specialties, regardless of their social origin.
For her part, Susana Orphe Montoya, General Secretary of the Bureau of the National Union of Cultural Workers in Guantanamo, highlighted the value of the visit to all the centers in the sector, in order to know about the concerns and initiatives of the unionists, as well as the ways of performing culture in the territory.
The human sensibility led to the delegation of the Guantanamo culture, also to the Home for children without family support of the Reparto Rubén López Sabariego in the provincial capital, where they gave a donation as an initiative of several of its 18 members.
The experience in artistic training, attention to the teaching staff and other culture workers, payment systems and the organic operation of union structures, among others, will be topics to be discussed at the Conference that will take place from October 11th. 13 in Havana.
