Danza Fragmentada 25 Years Seducing on Stage

Danza Fragmentada CompanyPremieres, theoretical workshops, photographic exhibitions and performance were presented during the 25th season of the Company Danza Fragmentada, which culminated this October 14 at the Guaso Theater in the Guantanamo City, as part of the activities for celebration of the Cuban Culture Day.

 

From October 11 to 14, the dancers of this emblematic troupe performed for the first time the works Entropía, Encuentro de Abanicos y Cardiopatía by the choreographers Felipe Adriano Catalá and Ismael Cabal; as well as Isla, by maestro Ladislao Navarro Tomasén, director of the company, who also celebrated 40 years of career.

The usual Espacio Interior of Danza Fragmentada was a moment of celebration, where the Guantanamo Male Choir, the Ikari-Van Fashion Company and the Babul Folkloric Ballet performed and awarded the leader and founder of the troupe that has defended contemporary style as distinctive aesthetic line for two and a half decades ago.

Authorities of the institutional system of culture, in the territory, recognized the value of maestro Ladislao Navarro for his contributions to the territorial dance movement of the country and to artistic education, as a teacher of several generations of dancers graduated from his company's academy.

The dance companies Medula and Danza Libre were other groups that joined the commemorative day, along with students of the Alfredo Velázquez Carcasés Professional School and guests such as the young dancer Yanosky Suárez of Ad-Libitum and the renowned journalist Reynaldo Cedeño.

The choreography El Puente de Aguilera, conceived by maestro Ladislao Navarro, put an end to the twenty-fifth season of presentations of the Company Danza Fragmentada and also became a genuine expression of Cuban and Guantanamo culture.
