On occasion of the 60th anniversary of the Fidel Castro’s first visit to Guantanamo, artists, dancers, changüiseros, plastic artists and musicians gathered in the Plaza 24 de Febrero of this city to perform the concert “Soy Cuba,” and also as a support for the new Cuban Magna Carta.
With the accompaniment of the people, the meeting was chaired by Nereyda López Labrada, National Secretary of the Cuban Workers Federation of the Culture Sector; Rafael Pérez Fernández, First Secretary of the Provincial Committee of the Cuban Communist Party and Emilio Matos Mosqueda, head of the Assembly of People's Power in the province, together with other authorities of the territory.
Osmel Díaz Boloy and his group La Real Familia, the main creator of the meeting, shared the stage with Tary, the troubadour Jorge Barret (Yoyi), the singer Paula Villalón and the duet of Yoryana Rodríguez and Armando Hernández, to ratify their participation on February 24 in the constitutional referendum.

The draws of the Guantanamo visual artist Carlos Rafael González developed in situ the outlines and the patriotic colors of the Cuban flag, together with the rhythm of the rumba of the group Obbá Ilú Ará and Celso el Guajiro y su Changüí, of Yateras, played the most autochthonous rhythm of this region.
Danza Libre and Ballet Folklorico Babul also performed in the commemorative event Soy Cuba that culminated with the emblematic song “Soy el punto cubano”, played by the Quinteto La Luz.
