With a panel of historical remembrances to the first visit 60 years ago of Commander in Chief Fidel Castro Ruz to Guantanamo, the activities on the Cuban Press Day began in the province, which will last until March 15, and includes a wide commemorative programming for the professionals of this guild.
The meeting, in charge of the Doctor in Historical Sciences Noralis Palomo and the audiovisual producer Ramón Ortiz, became a moment to analyze the historical significance of the memorable programmatic speech delivered by the revolutionary leader in the easternmost territory of Cuba on February 3, 1959.
Both researchers also evoked in the House of History, the political genius of the Commander in Chief, demonstrated during his speech at the former Professional Commerce School of the Guaso City, where with strategic foresight called the unity of the Guantanamo people.
The knowledge of the country's history, revealing the sensitivities of its protagonists and the need to approach these topics in an attractive way on the communication platforms were other analysis of the representatives of the Cuban Journalist Association in the first meeting of the Cuban Press Day in Guantanamo corresponding to the year 2019.
