"Who does not like to read, cannot teach," it was the comment of the renowned Guantanamo writer, Mireya Piñeiro Ortigosa, at the end of his presentation in the space of literary criticism La Piedra en el Zapato (The Rock in the Shoe), a meeting that occasionally takes place in the Provincial Center of Houses of Culture.
The Regino Eladio Boti Prize, highlighted the didactic function of the professional practice inherent in the world of letters, in both the workshop, writers and specialists, invited by the Provincial Center of Books and Literature in Guantanamo and the host José Raúl Fraguela, gave opinion on the promotion, the role of the training workshops for local novel writers, among other key issues.
The Piñeiro's opinion was discussed in the panel calles Criticism? ... criticism?, a moment in which participant also deliberately analyzed the unavoidable work of critics during the editing processes that guides and accredits the literary production aimed at eager readers.
