The Hermanos Saíz Association, (AHS), in the Guantanamo province, will hold the fourth Meeting of Young Choreographers from May 24 to 27 that will be dedicated to the dancer and choreographer Ladislao Navarro Tomasén on occasion of his forty years of outstanding career as founder director of the Danza Fragmentada Company and teacher of generations of local artists.
This year, the International Poetry Festival of Havana promises to be a big event, with numerous activities, extensions to various spaces and more than 140 foreign poets from 30 countries have been confirmed, said Pierre Bernet in Guantanamo, founder and coordinator of the event.
Doctor of Communication Sciences, political scientist and Spanish journalist Ignacio Ramonet presented in the General Staff of the Frontier Brigade Antonio Maceo, of the Guantanamo Province, the fourth edition of his iconographic book Cien Horas con Fidel, a conversational text that reveals the intellectual genius and humanistic dimension of the Commander in Chief.
"Música Subterránea. Jóvenes raperos guantanameros" (Underground Music, Young Guantanamo Rappers) was the collection presented by the journalist Adriel Bosch Cascaret, as a fruit of the El Reino de Este Mundo Creation Grant, conferred by the Hermanos Saíz Association (AHS) in the country.
The teachers of the artistic education Yaneysi Chivás Caboverde and Esther Alexis Domínguez Pineda received the Honorary Elfrida Mahler Provincial Dance Award 2017, for the outstanding work of the year, an award granted by the Performing Arts Council in Guantanamo.
