We always see Enrique Jimenez surrounded by little girls, Sempré is the community of Guantanamo municipality of El Salvador where every day he trains women's softball team.

In this mountain town, women's softball is practiced for healthy recreation of the people who live there.

We knew how the teacher Enrique Jimenez is loved there, due to his tireless effort for development of soft ball.

Despite the limitations of means for the training of softball, as gloves, balls, harnesses, masks, breastplates and bats, we strive hard to obtain the best fruits in this sport, said the teacher.

“With the help of teachers of the Elementary School Zenén Casas Regueiro, we select those girls with ideal characteristic for softball as good height, with reflexes and speed to the practice of this discipline”, Jimenez explain.

We do not have the perfect field to play, but in Sempré, we seek an area in which we play and practice every day, we always work with the players to improve the technical and tactical elements and in the group there are always players with features to be enrolled at the Sport Initiation School (EIDE) Rafael Freyre Torres, in Guantanamo.

I can tell you as strength of our constant and solid work we already have done, we participated in the provincial championship in the category 13-15 years of age and occupied the second place and three girls are training in the EIDE.

We can mention Keila Herrera, Shakira Delís and Dayaisi Sanchez, but there are others that can be included in this list if they continue training hard.

The matches are very important to improve the work and that why we have some games with the neighboring Cuneira, another El Salvador community where softball players are also trained and we hope to obtain good results from these matches.”
