Jorge Griñán (49 kilograms) and Dainier Peró (91) started the path of triumph in the afternoon, and later, Elio Crespo (52) and Osvary Morell (81) added two more victories in the evening session.
Griñán won his match 4-1 against US Dylan Prince in a very hard match in which all the judging cards ended voting 29-28, while Pero defeated Indian Naman Tanwar 5-0, always with a voting verdict of 30-27.
In the evening, Crespo defeated French fighter Enzo Grau in a match in which four judges voted 30-27 and one, 29-28, while Osvary Morell eliminated Russian Serguei Murashev.
To win the gold medal, Griñán will have Indian Sachin Kumar as his next contender.
Pero will match against Russian Vladimir Uzunian, Crespo will be against Japanese Hayato Tsutsumi, and Morell will have Ukranian Roman Savitsky as his rival.
Another Latin American fighter, Melbyn Andres Hernandez (Venezuela) also sought to improve the color of his medal, but lost 0-5 against Ukrainian Pavlo Gula, in the 69 kilos, and will return home with a meritorious bronze medal.
