I see her as the champion she is: Driulys González with her smile that permeates the future now by performing as a Coach in the national women's judo team, is the same woman that I know on Luz Caballero Street in the city of Guantanamo.
She is of these women who by force of courage and dedication achieve their goals, I see her, I look at her eyes, I try to read into the mind of this woman, who was able to climb the winners' podium in the Olympic Games in Atlanta, United States 1996.
Perhaps the talent of this multi-champion as a Coach has the influence of the greatest Coach of all time, Ronaldo Veitía who led her until the stardom.
Driulys, is the most distinguished Cuban woman in sports in all times with more than 20 years in the national team, modest but deep, inspires confidence, sweats her training coat, acts with true example, strength and discipline in all she does.
"I’m enthusiastic, I say myself, if I was great in judo, why cannot be a teacher, and then I hope when the years go by, I can see the fruit of my work, it’s all I want."
