The Guantanamo Province is ready to hold the Provincial Conference of the Cuban Workers Federation (CTC) this October 18 and 19, previous of the XXI Congress process that stands out the great role of the labor movement in favor of increasing productive results and economic efficiency.
This is emphasized by Juana Eglis Fernández Lowit, general secretary of the CTC in this province, who called to comply with the sugarcane harvest, a priority for the working class, committed to the plantation programs and with the need to raise the sugarcane yield per hectare in the future harvest.
The CTC leader highlights the majority support of the workers for the practical implementation of the guidelines and the conceptualization of the economic model and called for the creation of material wealth to satisfy more and more the needs of the people.
Juana Eglis Fernández Lowit said that after the constitution of the municipal assemblies of the CTC, 200 Guantanamo delegates from various sectors, including self-employed workers, delegates to the Provincial Conference, will enrich the debates before the Congress scheduled for April next year.
The general secretary of the labor center in Guantanamo says that on Thursday delegates will exchange with authorities of the province and Friday will be the plenary session in the theater of the Faculty of Medical Sciences, where the trade unionists will draw the new lines of work that confirm the leadership of the CTC in the current times the nation lives.
