With the heading "El deber nos llama a andar", the meeting was presided over by Dennis Legra Azahares, first secretary of the Communist Party, who urged young people to speak about the difficulties of the organization and its proposals for improvement.
The interventions of the young generation insisted on the work of the organization, its strengths and weaknesses, as well as the proposals to improve the students’ integration.
Eliannis Morales Benitez, reelected president of FEEM in Guantanamo, stated as organizational priorities for the term 2015-2016 the attention and monitoring of the cadre policy, continuing to improve the work system, confronting and combating social indiscipline, helping to raise the learning results among other aspects.
One of the topics discussed with greater emphasis commitment process of twelfth grade students to the university entrance examinations, with the intention to outperform the previous year, in which 1871students were examined and 1528 passed the test.
The meeting was dedicated to International Students' Day, the 45th birthday of the organization and the next provincial Party Congress.
It was also attended by Yucleidis Ramirez Ramirez, first secretary of the UJC in the territory and Alis Azahares Torreblanca, provincial director of Education.
