Some 33 teachers of different subjects in the province of Guantanamo were evaluated in English, Portuguese and French with excellent grades, allowing them to teach in these languages in several countries.
During these tests, conducted by the Department of Literacy of the Latin American and Caribbean Pedagogical Institute, some 22 consultants were also evaluated, who will have the mission of literacy in the sister nation of Venezuela with the Cuban programs Yo Si Puedo and Yo Si Puedo Seguir.
These 55 Guantanamo teachers add to the more than 300 that are today involved in the literacy campaign with Robinson, Sucre, Riba and other programs.
Also, these professionals demonstrated a high preparation on issues related to the general culture of countries like Bolivia, Nicaragua, Mexico, Venezuela and others that today seek Cuban collaboration in education.
Real José Hernández, head of the Department of Literacy of the Latin American Pedagogical Institute, said that the province of Guantanamo for several years has developed an important and serious work in the preparation of teachers in this territory that now extol the Cuban education in 30 countries.
