Within the art project, which revives the main streets where the city of Guantanamo in the early nineteenth century emerged, the visual artists Daniel Nuñez and Noel Manso express in the mural the origin, development and the most significant events of the town.
The work on the big wall of more than 10 meters long, which will be in harmony with the complex of the Plaza de Armas, currently under completion, also involves the performance of GEOCUBA Company, responsible for the execution of PVC blocks.
To conceive a more beautiful, harmonious and functional city, it is the main objective of the Origin Project, which strives to preserve and recover the authentic buildings as the first railroad station, the Plaza de Armas, La Taberna "El León de Oriente" and houses built by the first inhabitants on the shore of the Guaso River, whose history began 145 years ago.
