Similarly at municipal and provincial acts other groups of teachers will receive the Rafael María de Mendive and José Tey awards, the Internationalist Workers’ Medal, and at the same time in the more than 700 schools of the territory they schedule meetings with literacy educators.
In student campuses, teachers and students also organize exhibitions of interest clubs, special meetings and exchanges, extra-curricula activities to mark the 54th anniversary of the Literacy Campaign and the constitution of the union of the sector.
Meanwhile volunteer teachers and the pedagogical detachment also organize cultural events, seminars, workshops with new teachers and students, and other activities that promote the work with the elderly, and the return to school of retired educators.
