The series directed by Santiago de Cuba filmmaker Leonardo (Leo) Garcia and produced by Myagenes audiovisual project, aims to show in 30 chapters the most significant aspects of society, culture, traditions and daily life of every Cuban provinces.
The first season will be dedicated to Guantanamo, the capital of the easternmost province of Cuba, which soon will celebrate the anniversary 145 of its foundation. The next should be Bayamo, National Memorial, and Holguin, the director said.
The history of the emblematic neighborhood of Loma del Chivo, Santa Catalina de Ricci Cathedral and the Guantanamo architectural wonders, are some of the places that stand out, among the personalities are included Arnaldo Tamayo Mendez, first Latin American astronaut and son of this city, the poet Regino Eladio Botti, the composer Lily Martinez, among others.
In just three minutes viewers will also learn the history of Changüi, autochthonous in this region, other representative symbols like the Guaso River and the popular guajira Guantanamera and will discover some aspects disclosed in this region.
The Myagenes project is made up of artists from Santiago de Cuba and Camagüey. It had its premiere with the series Santiago 500, broadcasted on television during the dates close to the 50th anniversary this major eastern city, which has received important national awards.
