The Sixth Festival of Voices, held at the Provincial Museum, closed with the recital of Lyric Group Alberto Davalos, in the province of Guantanamo that performed for first time the scenic cantata "Carmina Burana", a masterpiece of the 20th century, created by the German Carl Orff, who died in his native Munich.

Considered among the top- grossing musical piece in the world, Carmina Burana was played by Guantanamo Men’s Chorus and Vocal Tempo and the Concert Band, under the direction of Armando Torres, in perpetual tribute to the maestra Antonia Luisa Cabal.
Other artists invited to the closing of the Festival of Voices were the pianist Teresa Manzanares, of Guantanamo, and the Quartet Vidas, of Santiago de Cuba, in order to extol the qualities of voice in its many forms and combinations, as well as to foster vocal music.
On the 55th anniversary of the Cuban Writers and Artists Associations, the Lyric Group in this province performed the premiere of Carmina Burana, which includes some medieval poems, an art resource used by Carl Orff , at the mid thirty of last century.
