With these high-level researchers in the areas of agriculture, forestry, veterinary, economics, biology, education, sociology and literature, the higher education center reaches 111 professionals who hold that qualification and contribute to sustainable local development.
The titles were given by Drs Alberto Turro Breff, rector of the University of Guantanamo; Dexter Perdomo Perez adviser of Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermudez, Cuban first vice president, and other executives at the higher education center.
Graduation at the Guaso Theater, was part of the celebration of the Cuban Science Day and the commemoration of the first anniversary of the integration of higher education centers in the eastern province.
The rector of the university acknowledged the contribution in this achievement of the universities of Oriente, Havana and Pinar del Rio; Institutes of Agricultural Sciences and Animal Science and the Guantanamo University of Medical Sciences, as well as Office of Science, Technology and Environment, and Education.
The doctoral formation contributes to the purpose of the University of Guantanamo this year by presenting its application for accreditation to the National Board of the Ministry of Higher Education in charge of granting this category.
