Activities in Guantanamo to Mark Jose Marti's Birthday Anniversary

Representatives of José Martí clubs in Guantanamo province, attend this January 27 to the Vigil to mark the 163 anniversary of the birth of the National Hero of Cuba, at Jose Marti Park, from nine in the evening until midnight.

It is also planned for Wednesday a youth camping in the settlement of Hatibonico, by the leadership of the Border Guard Troops and the Young Communist League, a tribute that also the residents of Caimanera will take part.

Organizers also call among participants, the members of fraternal political, cultural associations, and the rest of the population, as every year happens in honor to the Apostle of Independence on the island.

During the evening, musicians and dance groups in the territory will perform during the vigil until midnight, while the Provincial Board of the José Martí Cultural Society is responsible for the main speech.

The following day, the 28th, celebrating the 77 anniversary of the founding of the Cuban Workers’ Federation, community activities will be promoted by the House of Friendship and the Nena and Chago club, at the Caribe district where students and neighbors visit that garden with species mentioned by the Master in his diary.

Apart from the Vigil of Marti at 9 pm of January 27, at dawn the next day from the José Martí Park, the twenty-sixth Guantanamo-Baracoa Theater Crusade  will departure to two hundred mountain communities.
