Quibiján safaris and Punta de Maisi and the path along the Yumuri river will enable tourists to observe the best terraces preserved in the Caribbean, at the Maisí- Caleta ecological reserve pertaining to the Baracoa Flora and Fauna Enterprise.
Under the auspices of the Ministry of Science, Technology and Environment (CITMA), the new ecotourism expeditions in the region will also benefit excursions by historic sites, tours in typical bamboo rafts, camping, relaxing in Ecolodging and interaction with villages rooted cultural traditions.
Guantanamo ranks second following Pinar del Rio in Cuban nature tourism and registers visitors from US, Germany, Italy and Canada with more visits to this eastern region.
