At eight o'clock in the morning, from the José Martí Park, artists will depart and offer their first performance two hours later in the community of Jamaica, in the municipality of Manuel Tames.
This 26th issue is dedicated to the 163 anniversary of the birth of Jose Marti and 25 years of the founding the theater groups Guerrilla de Teatreros and Teatro Andante, assiduous in this Guantanamo project, said Emilio Vizcaíno Avila, director of the Crusade.
The well known actor also said that 15 groups confirmed their participation, including five from foreign countries, six from Guantanamo and four from other provinces. The foreign groups are Alquimia Títeres (Argentina), Cuantos cuentos cuenta (México), Zumbambico (Ecuador), Intipacha (Peru) and Yheppa (España).
Also three Brazilian artists pertaining to the Dolores group will participate, who in contribution with Guiñol Theater Group arranged the play entitled Perestroipica, premiered last January in this city and addressing historical issues and current Cuban society.
This time, interacting with the theater actors will be present the Guantanamo Colmenita Theater Company and Artistic Mountain Group.
The Guantanamo-Baracoa Theater Crusade, Community Culture National Prize will offer its arte in the municipalities of Manuel Tames, Yateras, San Antonio del Sur, Imías, Maisi and Baracoa, in a tour that will conclude on March 2.
