With a budget of over a million pesos (national currency), the first stage of repairs of the Pedro Agustín Pérez Pediatric Hospital in Guantanamo began since November last year, including the revitalization of the furniture and technical equipment as well as infrastructure with more than ninety years of medical services.

To date changes are being observed in the areas of emergencies, central corridors, dining room, rooms for children with infections, medical surgical unit bedroom, laundry and installation of an X-ray equipment and other devices for the sterilization area.
The second stage started in January comprises the Gastroenterology room and the installation of a boiler, which will improve the cook services as well as other activities of the institution, actions to be carried out in accordance with the budget allocated this year.
Twenty enterprises are involved in repairs and maintenance, with increased support from Community Services, and Building Enterprises, which guarantee work in the gardens, masonry work and furniture.
The investment process at the Guantanamo Pediatric Hospital which is expected to occupy all areas of the institution must be characterized by quality in executions and the fulfillments in schedules and the materials timely procurement process.
