The Plaza Pedro Agustín Pérez in Guantanamo was filled with the workers of the Sport, Physical Education and Recreation (INDER, in Spanish) to develop a gymnastic festival to celebrate 55th anniversary of this institution.
The ceremony to award the best workers of the institution was attended by Freddy Vega Sanchez, a member of the Provincial Bureau of the Cuban Communist Party, Rolando Carlos Charro, provincial director of INDER, sports stars and other officials.
During the celebration, Vicente Suarez Martinez received the award as an internationalist worker, while Mayra Toledano, Justino Félix Santa Clara, Víctor Morán Soler, Ramón Corrales Álvarez and Ismery Rancol Olivares were bestowed with Rafael Marìa Mendive Medal.
The Forjadores del Futuro Medal was given to Yudelkis Chivás Belén, Yoeldis Hado Ochoa, Idolkis Savón Ayala, Ernesto González Rondón and Mayelín Savón Verdecia
With a sunny day at the Plaza Pedro A. Perez, there was a show of tai chi, karate, judo, skating, boxing, volleyball, taekwondo and presentation of elderly clubs, among other sports, with the active participation of children.
On occasion of the 55th anniversary of INDER, agencies and organizations of the territory also awarded Director Charro, for the outstanding work of the sports institution during these years.
