The Provincial Vice President of the José Martí Cultural Society adds, Ruben Preval, an experienced activist of Marti Forest and awarded with the highest distinction Utilidad de la Virtud was also invited to the tour that follows the route of the National Hero of Cuba.
Irma also highlights that some of the participants are members of the Interior Ministry, the Youth Movement Plazas Martianas and other groups, who initially will participate in the traditional representation of the landing in Playita Cajobabo.
José Martí Pérez, the delegate of the Cuban Revolutionary Party, landed on these shores on April 11 1895 to start the Necessary War, accompanied by Major General Maximo Gomez, General Francisco Borrero and Angel Guerra, the Dominican Colonel Marcos del Rosario and Captain Cesar Salas, and after 20 days in Guantanamo, they all left for Santiago de Cuba from Vuelta Corta camp, in municipality of Niceto Pérez.
