"Martí´s last days in San Pablo, Jiguaní", by historian Hugo de Armas, is one of the 19 papers that enriches the encounter and highlights details of Jose Marti´s presence in the province of Granma until his fall in Dos Rios, the May 19, 1895.
Milvia Delgado Hernández, director of the 11 de Abril Museum, announced that the event includes the presentation of poems and drawings by children from the territory on a competitive basis.
He further said that on April 9, the House of Rural Ethnology opened, a space recreated with visual arts works representing the music autochtonous in that area as Nengón and kiribá, adding furniture and objects representing the Guantanamo peasantry.
The tenth Workshop on Tradition, Identity and Marti Presence with venue in Cajobabo is also attended by 38 delegates members of the “Homenaje al Hombre Sincero” Project who through the preparation of dishes from this Imias community, commemorate the 120th anniversary of José Martí´s disembark along with other patriots, on April 11.
