The festival is dedicated this time to the 55th anniversary of the Cuban Writers and Artists Association (UNEAC), the 30th of the Hermanos Saiz Association and the 90th birthday of Fidel Castro Ruz and promises to the public repertoires of high artistic quality.
In this season of classical music, stand out the concerts of Axel Rodriguez, Teresa Manzanares, Ruben Figueroa, Lizandra Porto Lisandra Rodriguez and Guillermo Jesus Izaguirre and members of Sonus Duo.
These local musicians will perform master pieces of well-known Cuban and foreign composers such as Louis Aguirre, Chopin and Bela Bartok.
The eleventh Spring Concert Season in Guantanamo includes the participation of musicians from the province of Camaguey as trombonist Roger Reinier Meriño accompanied by the Quartet of Trombones "Glissando" from José White Conservatoire, who will teach a didactic concert at the Music School.
The UNEAC in the province sponsors this cultural event, dedicated to Cuban composer Juan Piñera, whose tribute is performed by the Trio Lecuona, Havana, Friday night 22 of this month.
Another important moment of the concert season is the performance of Médula Dance Company, the youngest group in the province, led by dancer and choreographer Yoel González.
The Guantanamo public can also enjoy the Guantanamo Chamber Orchestra directed Brian Hui, which will play the Fourth Structure of the Italian composer Adriano Galiusi whose new compositions are always performed in the event.
