Guantanamo youth and children are celebrating the 4th of April that is a date to recall the most prominent achievements of young people on occasion of the 53th anniversary of the Young Communists League (UJC) and 54th of the José Martí Pioneer Organization (OPJM), more than five decades of commitment and constant work of those who eagerly and creatively do each task.

There are many reasons to celebrate this new anniversary, the two organizations come together to form worthy men and women, professionals, students and workers, who with commitment and responsibility support unconditionally the Revolution.

Youth in Guantánamo and throughout Cuba raise their voices to claim for a more just and equitable world, many members of the delegation that participate in the Youth Forum to be held in Panama from April 8 to 10 in the context of the 7th Summit of the Americas, from there they will contribute their experiences to the project of building a better America from enriching discussions on issues such as citizen participation and governance, education and health, environment and energy, and public safety.

Celebrating both anniversaries of UJC and OPJM at the present time, a special meaning ascribed to date. Young Cubans are called to become protagonists of changes and transformations experienced by the country in the economic sphere.

For their commitment to the country in international collaborations in more than 60 nations of the world, the young employees from various sectors also honor this special day.

The pioneers have experienced enthusiastically days of camping activities, where they show their skills learned in the scout movement, festivals of reading, discussion group that take place in the schools to celebrate April 4th.

These days of celebration, the example of the founders of the OPJM and UJC is ratified. Together they work in each productive task for resurgence of life in the fields and thus boost the food program in each community.

Due to their discipline and dedication, it has been developed prioritized programs of the Revolution in Health, Education, Culture because they follow the examples of Fidel and Raul, José Martí, Antonio Maceo, José Antonio Echeverría, Julio Antonio Mella and other leaders who bequeath an enduring example for new generations.
