The Guantanamo swimmer Elisbeth Gámez, considered the best undine of the moment, debuted at the Marcelo Salado Coup, taking place in Havana with score for the competition in the 400 free style meters.
In the modality, the young athlete who took her first steps at the Miel River, in Baracoa, registered 4: 21.68 in the Havana Sports Complex far from the 4: 18.23, national record achieved at the Pan American Games in Toronto 2015.
In spite of this score, it is encouraging the start of the Baracoa swimmer in the new Olympic cycle, which will have for the year 2018 the Central American and Caribbean Games in Barranquilla, Colombia and then the Pan American Games in Lima, Peru in 2019.
During this season Elisbeth does not waste time in her training in the Marcelo Salado National School, because she aspires to improve her scores which will lead her to achieve better results in coming contests.
The multi-sport event in Colombia next year is one of the main commitments from which she hopes to return home with gold medals hanging on her neck.
