In the province, this financial aid to those affected by the cyclone reaches 18 million pesos; the majority of this amount is destined to settlers of Baracoa municipality.
Aymé Cobas Urgellés, marketing specialist at the Provincial Directorate of Banco Popular, BPA, explains that in the territory, the new banking policy distinguishes loans for the purchase of building materials and kitchen sets, with an amount exceeding 250 million of pesos.
This benefit also results among non-state sector workers, who carry out their activity with loans amounting to 80 million.
The financing also supports the performance of the non-agricultural cooperatives La Ruina and Los Girasoles and of companies such as the Dairy, for the payment to milk producers and Flora and Fauna for the production of eggs, bulls and other destinations.
Also at the commemoration of the founding of the Banco Popular de Ahorro, Guantánamo highlights the technological improvements introduced by eight ATMs located in the provincial capital and in Baracoa municipality.
In addition, the use of new tools is strengthened with the implementation of mobile and remote banking, the latter made reality in 11 companies with the possibility of transferring funds and checking the status of accounts, among other facilities.
In Guantánamo, 4 branches of the BPA operate, a financial institution that adjusts its management to the demands of updating the Cuban economic model.
