At the provincial ceremony for the event to be held on May 29, the Agricultural, Forestry and Tobacco Workers' Union awarded the certificate and plaque that accredit the Twist Tobacco Base Business Unit of the city of Guantanamo, as Colectivo por la Senda del Tiunfo.
In addition to the results in production, the conferral of this acknowledgement is also due to the favorable behavior of the efficiency indicators and the outstanding role of the labor movement in the tasks among which the payment of the contribution to the Paria highlights.
Fifty hundred workers were also honored with the Carlos Baliño Medal for their outstanding and uninterrupted work in the sector for more than 20 and 25 years.
