Advice in the application of legal norms and the adequate professional training are the key issues that the Guantanamo jurists will debate during the National Congress of Jurists from next June 7 to 8 at Havana’s Convention Center.
Ten legal professionals in the province will attend this meeting, among them the lawyer Liesner Rodríguez, the youngest of the delegation, who is interested in reflecting on professional ethics and attention to students of law career.
Elayne Rodríguez, Vice-President of the Provincial Board of the Association of Jurists, said that in the national event they will also analyze the role of the workers in this branch in the implementation of the Party's Economic and Social Policy Guidelines and the necessary legal support during the whole process.
She also confirmed that the work commissions will reflect on the social performance of lawyers, the organic operation and the teaching of law, with the aim of perfecting the work of that labor movement.
The National Union of Jurists of Cuba, founded on June 8, 1977, is a non-governmental organization that brings together 16,000 legal professionals in the country.
