Next Monday about eighty thousand Guantanamo residents will attend the Plaza Pedro Agustín Pérez, to participate at 5:30 p.m. in the commemorative provincial act on occasion of the 64th anniversary of the assault on the Moncada barracks in Santiago de Cuba and Carlos Manuel de Cespedes in Bayamo, events that were led by the youngsters of the centennial generation in 1953.
Next Monday about eighty thousand Guantanamo residents will attend the Plaza Pedro Agustín Pérez, to participate at 5:30 p.m. in the commemorative provincial act on occasion of the 64th anniversary of the assault on the Moncada barracks in Santiago de Cuba and Carlos Manuel de Cespedes in Bayamo, events that were led by the youngsters of the centennial generation in 1953.
At 4:00 p.m., the 17 unions in the territory, led by health workers, will gather the members and their families in the points corresponding to each labor group for entry to the concentration area.
During the patriotic celebration, ninety-one people will receive their cards as new members of the Communist Party of Cuba, symbolic number that marks the birth of Fidel Castro Ruz, the immortal Commander-in-Chief of the Cuban Revolution on August 13, and 55 documents will also be presented to make up the Young Communist League (UJC).
After this ceremony led by fighters of the Revolution, the state's most important companies and state bodies in production and services will be awarded.
As a prelude to the Provincial Act for National Rebellion Day, Guantanamo's labor groups decorate local and work areas, and they will expect the Agroindustrial Fair on Sunday, three Guantanamo fest nights during holidays, among other activities for healthy recreation.
