The upcoming September 4 and until the 30th, Guantanamo will make its 2 245 Nomination Assemblies for candidates to the Provincial Assembly of the People’s Power, as part of the 2017- 2018 general elections in Cuba.
The meetings will take place the abovementioned day in Palenque de Yateras; Plaza Caney de los Combatientes, in the municipality of San Antonio del Sur; Calle Güira, in Caimanera; La Nave en Taxis, in Maisí, and in front of the Ambulance Worrkshop, in Baracoa. Manuel Tames will use sites like Ciro Frías. In the municipality of Guantanamo the meetings will be held in Reparto Obrero neighborhood. El Salvador will use the Pedro Agustín Pérez Secondary School; Niceto Pérez in the community of La Yaya and Imías in the Military Division.
That cycle comes immediately after the training of the electoral authorities as well as the constitution of the commissions to assume the deep and democratic process that on October 22 will call to vote in the first ballot and the 29th to the second, if necessary.
In Guantanamo, 84 of the more than two thousand polling stations planned for these elections are private homes, whose families will open for that purpose, while six hundred students are ready to participate as observers.
The Nomination Assemblies for Delegate Candidates aim to choose well, to point out the way of the Revolution and its continuity in time and invite to exercise the right to choose for the good of the people.
