The Guantanamo Provincial Music Center "Luis Martínez Griñán", co-sponsoring with the sector of Culture and the Assembly of the People's Power, in the same instance, calls for the Ninth Elio Revé Matos Changüí  National Festival, scheduled to take place in the territory, On June 23 through 27, 2018.

This time, the encounter will be dedicated to the distinguished cultivator of the genre Arturo Latamblé, founder of the Changüí Guantánamo Group, to the 115th anniversary of the birth of the prolific musician Luís Morlote Ruíz and the 25 years of the Yateras group Celso el Güajiro.

Jazz as a sonority, and its convergence with Cuban music will be another motivation of the changüí event, which from this side of the country will propose dances, audio-visual exhibitions and tributes to outstanding creators of these oriental melodies.

Dancers and bongo players, the Rafael Inciarte Theoretical Colloquium, as well as the performance of the world's longest Changüí, will also complet the program of activities of the Ninth Elio Revé Matos Changüí National Festival, which will take place in Guantanamo in June, 2018.
