    Wind gusts of 73 km per hour and waves of up to 3 m in height and 37 millimeters rainfall, according to information from Punta de Maisi weather station.

    According to reports, most part of the municipality of Maisí has ​​no electricity since 3 am approximately due to system malfunctions. Hence, the power generator units were set up in the territory to offer services.

    At the moment, over 23,000 people are evacuated in 7 state centers, in addition to the recently built homes and cave refugees, as happened when Hurricane Matthew hit last October.

    The affectation to the cellular telephony continues and began from early hours in the morning, although the fixed telephony is in good condition until the moment.

    In the case of Baracoa more hurricane winds are felt. It rains a little more intense and there is slight sea intrusion. There is no electricity in much of the municipality. This information is provided by journalists of the CMDX the voice of the Toa radio station, who frequently make tours through the streets of the First Villa and the area near the sea shore.

    Imías, another municipality of the eastern area of ​​the province, it is in calm even though some gusts of wind have been felt. So far the territory has electricity and people living in vulnerable areas are being evacuated in state centers activated for that purpose, in addition to those who are refugees in homes of relatives and friends.

    In the area of ​​Cueva Arriba in the municipality of Yateras, another of the municipalities affected by Hurricane Mathew, in which winds between 50 and 60 kilometers per hour, and rainfall since 3 am but still nothing significant is being reported.

    At the moment the most important thing is to preserve human lives, so that it is suggested that people are not allowed to leave their homes in order not to be exposed to the force of the winds.
