Teachers in their mission in AngolaMembers of the Pedagogical Internationalist Detachment Ernesto Che Guevara of Guantanamo evoked that solidarity gesture that they staged in Angola 40 years ago, during a meeting held with students of the senior high schools Enrique Soto and Flor Crombet of this city.

In their dialogue, the professors Wilfredo Carbonel, Diego Bosch and Moraima Ribiaux talked about their experiences in Angola, where they taught hundreds of thousands of Angolans to read and write, as well as instilling in them the love of their neighbor.

They also confessed that in spite of the very young age, they knew how to fulfill with dignity the mission entrusted by the leader of the Cuban Revolution Fidel Castro, the main promoter of the creation of the Pedagogical D etachment Ernesto Che Guevara, created on March 9, 1978.

That call was joined by more than 26000 Cubans, of whom 60 were from Guantanamo, who during eight school years collaborated in Angola.
